You Can Now Import Photos from Facebook and Instagram directly into FamilySearch

When you add memories to your FamilySearch.org Memories Gallery, you now have the choice of adding them directly from Instagram and Facebook. There are a couple of things you might want to remember, however. First, many of the photos on both websites may be copyright protected and permission from the copyright owner will have to be obtained before copying photos. Second, a photo of a living person will automatically be added to you own Private Space and will not be visible unless the person shown is tagged and marked deceased or someone else in the photo is tagged and marked deceased. None of the photos of living people will become visible until the people die and are marked deceased or given a death date.

Of course, if the person in the photo is deceased and there are no copyright issues, then the photo can be added directly.
